Preparation
Before applying sealant, the dentist cleans and dries the tooth, then adds an etching solution to improve sealant adhesion. -
Sealant Application
The dentist paints the sealant material onto the grooves and fissures of the tooth. It quickly bonds to the tooth’s surface. A special curing light may be used to harden the sealant. -
Final Check
After the sealant hardens, the dentist checks the seal to ensure it covers all grooves and fissures effectively.
